Standard Procedure for a length of stay (3 – 7 days)

Travel to Langkawi Island is compulsory to use the airline
whether through Kuala Lumpur/Penang (technical stop only) or
directly to Langkawi Island.
International tourist movements are restricted only within the Langkawi only.

Eligibility 

Travellers who have completed the Covid vaccine. 

Children under 18 must be accompanied by parents/guardian who are fully vaccinated

 

 

Standard Procedure for the length of stay Above 7 Days

Travel to Langkawi Island is compulsory to use the airline
whether through Kuala Lumpur/Penang (technical stop only) or
directly to Langkawi Island.

Travellers may exit through domestic exits (air or sea) after being tested negative for RT-PCR COVID-19/Rapid Molecular screening Test of the day
8 or 72 hours before leaving Langkawi Island.

Tourist is allowed to all destinations in Malaysia is allowed except for the
areas declared Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO).

Standard Procedure for Vacation Package

Compulsory to buy a package from Travel Agency In Malaysia who registered with MOTAC International travellers or international representative company registred with MOTAC  

Every tourist is obliged to use a tour operator in Malaysia who is registered and licensed with MOTAC or through an overseas representative who the services of registered Malaysian tour operators and licensed with MOTAC.

Free Independent Traveller (FIT) Travel is NOT allowedTour packages offered must include:

i. details of tour operators registered and licensed under MOTAC (including license number);

ii. return flight tickets (whether direct purchase with the company flights or through tour operators);

iii. accommodation;

iv. reservation / compulsory COVID-19 screening fee;

v. tour guide (TG); And Itinerary /tour packages (need to go through a tour operator).

Every foreign tourist is obliged to purchase an insurance policy worth USD50,000 (COVID-19 &
adventure) for the rest of Malaysia. This Insurance Policy can be purchased with Malaysian
insurance companies or foreign companies before departure to Malaysia and may be
packaged into a tourist package by tour operators.
